do the same to the budget session too.It's not just key legislations कानून like GST

तक़दीर of reforms in general. His campaign promised growth. That's

too, some of that “innovative diplomacy“ will go a long way in getting things
moving again. How about showering बरसाना that
powerful charm सौंदर्य on the
opposition benches too? Taking some of that “spontaneous स्वाभाविक personal
diplomacy“ to the Congress camp?
Taking stronger steps against those preaching प्रवचन intolerance and hate from within the Sangh Parivar, which is hurting the BJP brand and contributing to partisanship in the polity?
Of course, had BJP itself not been wilfully जानबूझकर obstructionist अवरोधक when UPA was at the Centre, India would already be reaping कटाई the benefits of GST. The prime minister would do well to admit as much, offer a mea culpa(an acknowledgment of your error or guilt) as an olive branch thus incentivising Congress and other opposition parties to be more constructive निर्माण संबंधी.This would be a politically novel manoeuvre चालाकी but surely not more risky than popping झटपट आना या बाहर जाना into Lahore for chai at short notice. Reaching out to the domestic opposition cannot be tougher than reaching out फैलना to Pakistan.

Last year's historic mandate was for
development and growth.This year has been disappointing on that front. India
must do better next year and show some real turnaround(जहाज पर से माल उतारने और लादने की क्रिया) on the economic front.Some experts even see 2016 as Modi's last
chance, after which partisanship will prevail प्रचार in the
slow march towards the 2019 elections. Hence the urgency ज़रूरत for the
prime minister to reset the domestic narrative, as he has done on the foreign

The
Economic Times:Pollution Control Not
by Fuel Alone
As Indian
cities grow ever more polluted प्रदूषित and
politicians come under pressure to take remedial सुधारात्मक action,

odd-numbered cars on alternate days and stopping registration of diesel
vehicles fall into this category . It is time policymakers started taking a
systemic view of avoiding reducing pollution. Begin by realising that pollution
in a city is a function of many things, not just traffic. In Delhi, for
example, particulate matter from burnt जला हुआ crop फसल residue बाक़ी in Punjab
is as material a source of pollution as what Delhiites themselves do.
High
thermal efficiency at power plants and their use of electrostatic precipitators अवक्षेपक and
catalytic उत्प्रेरक
converters can reduce the toxicity जहरीलापन of their
emissions उत्सर्जन. Urban
plan ning, with mixed land use to enable people to walk to work, instead of
wasting a major part of their life choked बंद in
traffic, is another. The design of roads too is vital अत्यावश्यक.
If the

city were, for example, to resemble समान होना a honeycomb शहद का छत्ता , meaning
