1. anomaly noun विसंगति
› a person or thing that is different from what is usual, or not in agreement with something else and therefore not satisfactory:
Statistical anomalies can make it difficult to compare economic data from one year to the next.
The anomaly of the social security system is that you sometimes have more money without a job.



2. poised adjective  तैयार
› [after verb] If an object or a part of your body is poised, it is completely still but ready to move at any moment:
My pencil was poised over the page, ready to take down her words.
› [after verb] ready to do a particular thing at any moment:
[+ to infinitive] The company is poised to launch its new advertising campaign.
The military forces are poised for attack.



3. bode verb भविष्य में क्या होगा, आम तौर पर कुछ बहुत अच्छा है या बुरा की निशानी 
› to be a sign of something that will happen in the future, usually something very good or bad:
These recently published figures bode ill/do not bode well for the company's future.
The hurricane bodes disaster for those areas in its path.




4. reconciliation noun सुलह
› a situation in which two people or groups of people become friendly again after they have argued:
It took hours of negotiations to bring about a reconciliation between the two sides.
› the process of making two opposite beliefs, ideas, or situations agree




5. swerve verb भटकना
› to change direction, especially suddenly:
The bus driver swerved to avoid hitting the cyclists.
› If you do not swerve from a principle or certain actions, you continue to think or act as you did in the beginning:
She is one of those rare politicians whom one can trust not to swerve from policy and principle.



6. vindicate verb साबित 
› to prove that what someone said or did was right or true, after other people thought it was wrong:
The decision to include Morris in the team was completely vindicated when he scored three goals.
The investigation vindicated her complaint about the newspaper.



7. cronyism noun भाई-भतीजावाद
› the situation in which someone important gives jobs to friends rather than to independent people who have the necessary skills and experience


8. insurgency noun उग्रवाद 
› an occasion when a group of people attempt to take control of their country by force:
The government is reported to be concerned about the growing insurgency in the south.



9. brutal adjective  क्रूर
> cruel, violent, and completely without feelings:
a brutal dictator
He had presided over a brutal regime in which thousands of people had "disappeared".
He was imprisoned in 1945 for the brutal murder of a twelve-year-old girl.
› not considering someone's feelings:
She spoke with brutal honesty - I was too old for the job.



10. weary adjective थके हुए 
> very tired, especially after working hard for a long time:
I think he's a little weary after his long journey.
Here, sit down and rest your weary legs.
weary of
>>bored with something because you have experienced too much of it:
I've been going out with the same people to the same clubs for years and I've just grown weary of it.
