1.  springboard noun [C] (GOOD START) अच्छी शुरुआत

› something that provides you either with the opportunity to follow a particular plan of action, or the encouragement that is needed to make it successful:
example:The everydayquiz's director is confident that the new project will act as a springboard for/to further contracts.



2.. intact adjective   बरकरार 
>complete and in the original state:
example:The church was destroyed in the bombing but the altar survived intact.
>not damaged:
example:It's difficult to emerge from such a scandal with your reputation still intact.



3.. scotch verb  
› to prevent something from being believed or being done:
example:Her remarks were intended to scotch rumours of an imminent election date.


4.. bolster verb समर्थन या कुछ सुधार या इसे मजबूत बनाने के लिए
› to support or improve something or make it stronger:
example:More money is needed to bolster the industry.

5.. complacency noun  शालीनता
› a feeling of calm satisfaction with your own abilities or situation that prevents you from trying harder:
example:What annoys me about these girls is their complacency - they seem to have no desire to expand their horizons.
example:There's no room for complacency if we want to stay in this competition!


6.. reiterate verb  दोहराना 
› to say something again, once or several times:
example:The government has reiterated its refusal to compromise with terrorists.


7.. virulent adjective विषमय 
› A virulent disease or poison is dangerous and spreads or affects people very quickly:
example:A particularly virulent strain of flu has recently claimed a number of lives in the US
›  full of hate and violent opposition:
example:She is a virulent critic of US foreign policy.


8.. reconciliation noun   सुलह
> a situation in which two people or groups of people become friendly again after they have argued:
example:It took hours of negotiations to bring about a reconciliation between the two sides.
› the process of making two opposite beliefs, ideas, or situations agree

9.. negate verb नकारना
› to cause something to have no effect:
example:The increase in our profits has been negated by the rising costs of running the business.

10.. contention noun विवाद 
› the disagreement that results from opposing arguments:
example:There's a lot of contention about that issue - for every person firmly in favour, there's someone fiercely against it.
